Things I've read but didn't believe...
« on: June 27, 2011, 04:24:00 PM »
Today i was shooting some of Big Jims 1535 blems cause I got a short draw length I can finally cut a carbon to my length, I just add weight tubes.  by accident I tried a easton nock instead of the gt's....wow!!!(bareshaft tunning)  I never really beleived nock's would make that much difference!  I also lost an arrow in the grass with no feathers, made a dozen passes with no luck.  Went back out one more time with moccasins on and went toe to heel, ended up feeling it through the moc, would have never found it visually!!  So now this fall i'll be stalking my treestand with moccasins on!

The Easton flew way better.  I'm quiet sure all it comes down to is string to nock fit, never noticed it on stiffer arrows, but ya sure see the difference with the weak ones!

Yep--nock fit can make that much difference, especially with lighter draw weights.  That's why I have at least a half-dozen different serving sizes.

If you don't want to keep that many on hand, get a smaller size and use dental floss at the nock point to get a custom fit.

an x nock will not fit a gt. They fit eastons axis series arrows.
