Primitive lighted nocks
« on: June 29, 2011, 11:29:00 PM »
So, I went out tonight, and caught some Fireflys... Lightnining bugs!

Now, I filled up a mason jar, and brought 'em in to the shop. How do ya do, Misses Wiley?

Oooops, the ? is, do you apply with an offset, or helical? I laid them down on their backs, easily, then wrapped with fine thread and s. glue so they stayed put. The firely tails are up..... but the problem is, they light up at different times!  How do ya do?  :biglaugh:

That's funny.  When I was a kid, my brother and I used to mash up the tails and make glow in the dark war paint. It'd last for a pretty good while. I remember forgetting to wash it off before bed, and the next day my pillow smelled like death. My mom couldn't figure out why it smelled so bad and thought there was something wrong with me.

Of course you guys know what the last thing that went through the bugs mind was as the arrow hit the target...his butt.

I stuck one on the bullseye last night when I was shooting a bit too late.
