Not hearsay now bro. It is thicker. Ask for young snakes and shorter lengths like 32 to 35 inches. I have worked with most of the pitvipers except Moccasins. the thinnest is Copperheads followed by Prairies , then westerns, then I would call canes and easterns a tossup. To me the prettiest are young easterns. They have a very bright diamond pattern if the snake is dark . Next to me would be canebreaks, then diamonds or prairies, tossup, I am not as enamored as most with the copperheads although I have seen some really pretty ones. the pics of the moccasins I have seen look really cool but I have never skinned a bow with them. Of course most folks will put copperheads first. I just happen to like the diamondbacks better.LOL
God bless you all, Steve
