New Bama Bow
« on: July 08, 2011, 03:07:00 PM »
Well my son and I went to visit Nate at his house yesterday afternoon. Thought it was going to be a safe trip since Nate said he didn't have anything in stock. We got there and he had a 64 inch 50@28 Elite Classic. It has a yew belly with dark stained bamboo on the back, cocobolo riser. I shot it for a while and ended up buying it. Man this bow can shoot. Enjoy the pictures

That's one Sweet Bama! I'm waiting on one not much different than that one, except in a 2pc, with 2 lams of Yew and 2 lams of Bamboo.

If I lived close enough to Nate to visit, I'd never have 2 spare nickels to rub together, but I'd have an awesome bow rack!

Nate builds some of the best bows out there, and he's 'Old School' when it comes to building a fine bow and standing behind it.

Congrats and Welcome to the BamaBows Club!

This was our second trip within a year. The first trip my son came home with a Royal Expedition. Nate was more than helpful and it was great just shooting and talking about his bows.

There's a chance mine will be done before Denton Hill. I can't think of anything I'd enjoy more than spending 3 days shooting 3D with a new Elite Classic. I have a 2pc Hunter I'll be taking, but it's a little heavy to be shooting that much. The Elite will be a few pounds lighter.

Welcome to the Brotherhood!! You never know what Nate will have laying around!! I'm loving the contrast on this bow. Well purchased sir.

The materials are coming in for my 62" Expi. It's going to be sweet but I'll always go back to his standard models. Amazing shooters.

I want an elm core take down Royal too.

I am shooting Gold Tip 3555's cut at 30.5 with 5 inch feathers and 225 at the tip including point and insert. Still tweaking with the arrows. Haven't shot through the chrony yet.

This won't be my last Bama bow. I'm looking at a Expedition next. My son has the Expedition and I like its compact size and performance. I am planning on hunting with this Elite Classic this year. For those of you thinking about a Bama bow, just do it. If you have doubts contat Nate and he will answer all your questions. He is a great guy to talk with.

Just got off the phone with Nate tonight, he spoke to me for 30+ minutes, great guy. He is building me a 64" Hunter take down. Have you owned a 64" hunter by chance before? any vibrations or hand shock? Andrew

Mountaintool- this is my first bamabow and it is a 64 inch. It had some vibration, but I took care of it with some wool yarn silencers and brace height adjustment. It is now a solid sweet shooting bow. and will not be my last bamabow.

Rob-my son has an expedition and they are snappy. Sweet shooting bow. I like his takedown system. Got to see it on his 102# bow. It is still very snug.
