Selways New 4 Arrow Strap-on Mini...Pics
« on: July 14, 2011, 04:08:00 PM »
Well, I received my early B-day present from my mother-in-law today. Selway's new 4 arrow strap on quiver. This is the rawhide model. I like it and it does a great job quieting down an already pretty quiet longbow. It holds my 4 blade Muzzy Phantom SS's pretty well too. Not as light as my EFA's (which I like better) but, those 225gr heads fit real nice in it.

Looks pretty good. Does it seem to fit solid?  I like the way it is kinda offset so that your hood is higher on the grip etc.  TO me the hood looks crooked on the bottom picture.

James, the quiver is very solid. It has a double wrap around band and this makes it very stable. Don't know why that pics makes it look so crooked. As you can tell in the other pics, I tried to make it as straight as possible.

Good looking quiver. Selways are my favorite quiver. What bow do you have it on?

Shawn, that is my Horne Flint Quest Canterbury Pathfinder longbow. 62", 47# @ 29". Unfortunately, I might be stepping down in weight even more so, not sure if I'm going to be able to hunt with it due to my shoulder.

I am looking at the bottom picture  referencing the stitching along the side of the quiver and referencing it to the upper bow limb, it does not appear parallel. It may be an illusion but it appears that the quiver is sitting at an angle to the bow limbs.  Not that it is right or wrong, I like the quiver. It just looks angled and was curious to if that is how it was made and if there was a benefit to it or not. I am not sure you are seeing what I am. Here is a picture of mine to what I am refering to.

I think I understand what you are seeing. Because of the design of my riser, I had to adjust the top of the quiver to angle toward the bottom. There is an allen screw on the back that allows for this adjustment. Is this what you are referring to?

I dont think so.  I am refering to the distance between the centerline of your limb to the cut where the stitching is.

If you look at mine I put a picture of you can see that it is cut at an angle to attach to the hood.

Does yours have the same angle or an adjustment?

Yes, otherwise I would have had to angle my arrows to go in the hood and it would have looked kinda silly. This feature is a plus with a riser shaped like mine.

If you look in the 3rd pic, you'll see how much more it aligns the arrows to the hood.

Here is the same quiver now mounted on my Dream Catcher recurve. It fits both longbow/recurve alike.
