A Pronghorn that likes to eat elk. Rather good camo in the granite.

Yes yes yes! I went out scouting for elk today, and ran into about a hundred and twenty cows/calves/young bulls...sadly no photos were taken. Its almost hunting season and I'm going crazy with anticipation...

My best pictures are those in my mind.  I don't usually carry a camera afield.

The 5x5 that I watched bed down quartering toward me at 35 yards while I was stuck behind the only two trees in the area - and he didn't get up for an hour and a half.  I still didn't get a shot.

Or the bull that came into the water hole and played in the water including turning over onto his back and kicking his feet..............he tasted great!

Or any number of bulls I have called into, or almost into, bow range and not gotten a shot.

Or the ones that busted me...............

This thread is great, some of the pics I can almost smell the aspen leaves or the dank moist smell of the dark timber, or the barn yard smell of the wallows.  I love it all.  We leave for Colorado a month from tomorrow.

Alberta, a couple days ago.

It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.
