Delivery arrived Today
« on: July 22, 2011, 01:31:00 AM »
A percel arrived today and yes I was like a kid in a Toy Store , courtesy of Lancaster Archery .......... I am now the owner of a HOYT EXCEL 21" RISER and TRADTECH LONGBOW LIMBS  , also in the bow was a stubby plunger , Cavelier champion II rest which I now have to learn how to set up . Any help much appreciated and also a Sims S-Coil mini . All thats missing is my Woollen Puffball string silencers and we are good to go .

First impressions are , what a beautiful riser the Excel is and the Tradtech Longbow Limbs look great ....... what should I set the Brace height at , Hoyt recommends 8 1/2 " in the Manual , does that sound about right ??? .

Pictures will follow later today
We are here for a good time , not a long time .

Is that the riser they show Fred Eichler using now? I know he shot a Palmer, but I thought I saw him shooting a Hoyt somewhere.

Buckeye....the bow Fred Eichleer shoots is a Hoyt Buffalo that he helped design. You cannot put anything but Hoyt limbs on the Buffalo.

Hey Buckeye , exactly what Bill said  :)  . The Excel Riser I'm using is ILF , the Buffalo uses Hoyts own limb pocket design .

ckanous , I've set the bh at 8 1/2" and seems to be good , but would like a comparison , so that would be nice  .... cheers Buddy

Nice looking bow. I'm gonna have to try an ILF set-up out.
