snakeskins for limbs

here lately i have been looking for some copperheads (i know thats most definitley not the greatest idea of the century), i have been wanting to make my bow more pretty looking and cut down on glare when in the woods. but the question is it worth going through the trouble of everything for it. do they come of easy, does the glue destroy the paint, does it give rank smells in the heat at times, what if it gets wet,is it worth the trouble.and im getting tired of blacksnakes and gartersnakes and other non-good looking snakeskins. it does at times get a little frustrating at times when you walk around at bow shoots and see a bunch of gorgeous bows then mine. a copperhead skin would set the thing off for me.

Yep, it seems like everyone wants copperheads. I need a pair for a bow I've got comin'. Some bows just need that copperhead color and look.
I've got diamondbacks on a couple and they look good on the bows they're on, but don't cut it for others. Depends on the wood colors on the overlays alot.
If ya find a good source let me know. They don't last long.

Copperhead skins are like hen's teeth around here. Good luck and I'll give you my firstborn if you find me a pair.

Cody, real skins are pricey. Have you considered Onestringer's Copperhead Limbsations (peel and stick) for $23 + shpg?
http://www.onestringer.com/index.php?page=mods/Products/itemdetail&itemid=100
Or for cheap you can have this type Limbsation, if you'll PM me your mailing addy:
http://www.onestringer.com/index.php?page=mods/Products/itemdetail&itemid=163
Heard good things about Limbsations, too. Maybe others will chime in about them...

Cody94, It just so happens that I am overrun with snakes. I have killed one copperhead over 3' and several more around 18" or so. I was planning on skinning them out. However, I did not get to them right away and the blowflies got to them. Anyway, I will let you know when I kill another big one. I typically don't kill snakes ( I hate rodents worse). However, these were in the plant beds where my twin todlers play.
