I just made it home from Denton Hill. This was my first time there and it was a great experience. I don't have any pics, but I'll give you my experience. First there were a ton of things to look at for the trad enthusiast. I really thought there would be more bowyers there though. I'm not sure if there were more in years past or not, maybe someone that's been there before can chime in. I shot every bow I could get my hands on. Most were great, but in my opinion the Fedoras, Timberhawk and Hoyt Buffalo shot the best. I couldn't believe how good the Buffalo shot and after working out a great deal with the vendor brought one home. I also brought home a Timberhawk longbow. Scott, the owner of Timberhawk bows was as good of a person as you could meet. He answered all of my questions and let me shoot any bow that I wanted, it was like talking to an old friend. His bows are amazing shooters. Beautiful, quiet, fast and the grips are amazing. I have been a big fan of Fedora's since I started shooting trad and they didn't disappoint. They are always helpful and let me shoot all the bows I wanted. It was a tough choice between the Timberhawk longbow and a Fedora Xcellerator. Either bow would be a fine choice. Most bows were really nice, but I felt the above mentioned ones were above and beyond anything else that I shot. If you get a chance to go to Denton Hill I suggest you do. The 3d courses are great and the people there are even better. Thanks for reading my rant. Sam
