New, Old Bow Day--traded for a Morrison TD
« on: August 01, 2011, 06:24:00 PM »
I acquired a used, 62" Morrison today.

It's a nice bow,in the exact weight I was looking for--

I am looking for a bit of advice and information.

The bow does not have a name on it, so I assume it was sold off the rack and a shoot or event, or was a donation-No big deal, I don't care who use to own it-

It needs a new string, and I am going to sit down tonight and build a couple.

I want to make sure this bow is fast flight ready--I was thinking all of Bob's bows were, but I want to make sure-

The limb tips look like a fake horn, sort of phenolic--I see grain and a weave of some sort in there. Tips are a charcoal grey and off white, bone/antler looking material-

The limbs and riser have a serial number on them, and I was curious how to decipher Bob's code---

Thanks in Advance---
If your bow has a trigger, it’s not a bow. If your bow has a trigger and a stock, it’s an abomination.

If you are talking about the year built the last two numbers on the serial number are the year Bob made the bow. Bob is a sponser here, you can Phone,PM or Email the serial to him and he can answer all your Questions.

That helps--If It was made recently, I know it will be FF compatible

Thank you---

The riser ends in 73---I don't believe it is that old;) Limbs end in 91, I don't believe either of these numbers are the year of MFG.

the limbs and riser have an 11 digit SN--

Bob got back with me, and informed me of something I assumed, but was not 100% sure of--

Bob said all of the bows they have made are fast flight compatible--

A big public thank you to Bob for getting back with me so quickly--
