Limb Skins
« on: August 02, 2011, 10:13:00 AM »
I recently skinned my first set of limbs, and they didnt turn out too bad, so I am going to give it another try.  I used dried skins this time.  I am wondering if i can use tanned skins?  I can find a wide variety of tanned skins on ****, but not too man dried ones.  can anybody help on this question.

thanks for the help!!

Most people say to use dried only.I would also be leery because what some call "tanned",is just soaked in alcohol and glycerine.Glycerine and some tanning oils may cause adhesion problems. You may be able to find some dried ones by asking here or in the classifieds.

What are you looking for? I always have a few kicking around. I sometimes use tanned skins, but no glycerin is used. They skin up fine.
