I've got a Widow that I'd like to get checkered around the grip. Any suggestions as to who's good and reasonably priced?

Dave Windauer is as good as it gets for checkering.
Stippling is not the same process; but is quite adequate for most purposes. For me, a high end bow will look best properly checkered not stippled; but that's just me.

Dale Dye and Dave Windauer's bows are tops in my opinion.

I really want Checkering, not Stippling (although the link by jamesh76 does show some nice Stippling).

Dave Windauer is the best IMHO as good or better than what you see on a high end gun stock.

I'm sending a Schafer that I picked up from a fellow trad ganger to Beth and Dave W. to have the grip checkered. His work is top notch

I have a gunsmithing background and Dave's checkering is the only one I've seen that I like the looks of. Some others I have seen would be a stretch to call it checkering.
