What arrows should I use?
« on: August 04, 2011, 03:53:00 PM »
I am shooting a longbow that is cut 1/16" from center that pulls 53 @ 27". I have been looking at the traditional only shafts from 3rivers. I will be using a 100 grain brass insert with 175 grain points. Will I need a 400,340,or 300 spine shaft? Thanks in advance.

You could go with the 400's if you cut them down to around 28"bop.

Snag a 28" arrow is a little short because my actual draw is 27&1/2" and I have large hands. The arrows I am shooting now are just under 28.5" and the back of my broadhead comes over my index finger.

Well that changes things. Just saw the 53#@27" and thought your draw length was 27"...sorry. Go with the 340's cut to around 29" then.
