I made Turtle Stew tonight with the scraps.

Let me tell you, Turtles Beware   :readit:  

If the other parts come out half as well slow cooked and smoked tomorrow, I might have to quit hunting deer for turtles   :dunno:

Thanks for the good comments guys.

Dave:  I will as soon as she gets back from her vacation with her sister and grandma.

I am eating grilled turtle right now. I slow cooked it for 3 hours like I would ribs.  It has great flavor and is moist and juicy but is a bit chewy.

I think next time I may try the crock pot.

Casey, let me know, I would love to shoot with you at least once more before you leave us.
