Three weeks ago we posted about the new ll bean catalogue. It was said they do a good job replacing the bottoms of the Maine Hunting Boots. I sent mine in and got them back today- 3 weeks and one day later. They did an excellent job and the total charge was 39.00 If you have old boots don't hesitate to send them in.

Did they replace the rubber from the leather down or just the sole?

I had them do a pair for me and they leaked like a sieve. Be sure you test them before hunting season. I lost half a day going back the cabin and then backout again.

I've been using LL Bean boots for hunting and fishing for forty years or more and have had each pair resoled by them. They are not as good as a new pair but way cheaper and have served me well over the years.
