Sage recurve

How big is the grip on the Sage?  I'm thinking about one for my 9 year old but it will all depend on the grip.

Thats the one thing i dont like about the Sages, the grip feels weird. Its not overly big or small it just feels awkward in my hand. just my .02

it's about 4 3/4" around the deepest part of the grip
