Still not sure on alum. shaft size for footings

I've checked the search dir. for the proper alum. shaft size for a Beman Bowhunter 300 and still haven't found anything.

I have several different alum shafts and so far the 2117 is out of the question. The 2216 has a  sloppy fit. I havn't put the dial calp. on it, but it is very loose.

I have a 2115 that will go over the shaft very tightly. I'm not sure how tight it should fit. I'd only be guessing at this pont in time, but if I get something like super glue between the two shafts it will sure enough be a good fit.

Anybody got a better suggestion?

If you have one that is fairly tight you may struggle to get the glue in place to hold it.  It sounds like you already have the one that will work for you.  Put three together and shoot them a bit with the collars.  If they hold your good to go.

Looked at that chart on several threads. The only thing it has for 300's is a big???

I wasn't sure if the 2115 would allow any glue between the two shafts. The carbon will slid in, but it's tight.

Another thing I'm running into is where the instructions say push the footing from the rear until it touches the insert. The flange on the insert Beman uses doesn't come all the way out to the edge of the shaft. Since this will be my first time to try this, I'm guessing this means I will be making the footing flush with the end of the shaft.

Those 3 Rivers collars may save you a lot of work.If you do use the 2115,be careful with super glue.A tight fitting footing may jam up and lock down before you get it in place.Then you have a problem.If the footing will slide on the shaft dry,there will be room for glue.I use epoxy on mine.

My Gold Tips had some slop when I slide the 2216 over it but a good coat of JB Weld took care of that and they fly great.

After some careful studing with a chart that Pete Ward sent me I desided to use a 2219 for my footings. After sanding the shafts as well as the inside of the footings and just a small amout of epoxy (really slow set), I think I'll be happy. It seems to be a good fit without too much slop. I'll let everyone know how well they work sometime tomarrow.
