That is the kind of newt that is most prevalent where I hunt. Your mountain looks like home, Kenny.

Awesome to have Ron offer you some tips.
I'd bake him some cobbler if I were you!

Ken,  I can make a mean Cobbler over the fire if your mom can only find me a good cast iron Dutch oven.  (the ones with Legs).

You wont be sorry!

Ken - great photos of you and Charlie.  I'm going to have to come up sometime soon.  The mountains are calling.

Great looking birds eye on that bow by the way!

Charlie - I think we can find you a big ole dutch oven with legs.  Give me some time to look around.  Of course, then you will be obligated to demonstrate that cobbler-making skill!  I just brought back a ton of blueberries picked in Maine, but I think my wife is planning on a big blueberry pie for that harvest!

Glad to see you guys had a good time on the mountain!

Tony,

One of my favorite Cobblers is Blueberry with Strawberry cake mix.

I've had my eye out for a good Dutch oven but the cheapo in me is waiting for  a deal.  I know one will come along at some point. Dutch ovens are the best for campfire cooking.

Outstanding pics . Do I need to bring ya`ll some snakes up there. They do add a touch of excitement . I hunt very few places with bears and think that is cool as well. Good luck hunting,RC.
