Broadhead alingment and adhesive?

If shooting a 4 fletched arrow does it matter how the broadhead is alinged in relation to the fletch?

Also any insert to broadhead adhesive suggestions. I spend more time digging broadheads separated from inserts done with ferril tite hot melt out of stumps than shootitng!
Anyone using Insert Iron how has it been?  Or JB Weld users?

The alignment of the blades to the fletch make no difference to arrow flight.  The alignment of the broadhead to the shaft is what matters.  

I only shoot woods so I can't help you with your adhesive problem, but  I don't believe I have ever had a point come out with plain old white hot melt.

i buy the cheap glue sticks that people use in hot glue guns for wood crbon and some alum inserts and point. i personaly have never had a problem

Epoxy and you'll stop having issues.
Be sure to clean and degrease all the parts before glueing, no matter what glue you're using.

I like hot melt (ferr-l-tite) because it's easy get the broadhead to spin true by just reheating and tweaking it until I get it right.  With epoxy it's pretty much a one shot deal.

Interesting stuff.  I quit using ferr-l-tote because I lost a few heads in hay bales.  I mostly use golf club epoxy because it is made to take an impact.  Miss the old hot- melt because it's so easy to align.

Ive been using Imapct Resistant Gorilla Glue for my inserts....it has a light blue cap on the bottle . You can buy it at any Lowes or Home Depot...Maybe even Wallyworld....I havent had any insert loosen/pull out so far and Ive prob done 7-10 doz shafts for myself and friends with it....FWIW, I use a pistol bore brush screwed into my cordless drill to scuff the inside of the shafts before installing the inserts( I think its either a .38 or 9mm brush)....works GREAT !!!

I like to take a torch and burn out any oil that may be inside of the broadheads, and then I'll take a piece of rolled up sandpaper and scruff up the inside of the head some, then apply hot melt, don't have much of a problem then.

I use the low temp glue sticks(glue gun type) for my inserts in carbon(cleaned with bore brush and alcohol) For my broadheads I use JB Weld. Works great... Be sure to clean and scrub the BH first. There is oil residue in them..

I find epoxy far easier to align the head than using hot melt.
Seat the head on the shaft, wipe off excess glue, spin the shaft to check alignment. If it's crooked just spin the head on the shaft or nudge it over with a finger tip. When it spins straight just set it aside to cure.
What could be easier?

Buckwheaties method X-2 stuff holds forever.
I use a small,thin,o-ring behind my broadhead
(between the adapter and arrow bushing) and tighten to align. Acts like a crush collar for
alignment.
