i was on the market for a new bow and have looked for about the last two weeks at a few but just couldn't seem to get something in the area that i wanted such as price or lenght seemed to be the big factor and as i needed something in the 30 inch draw lenght .
so after much delibiration and a few sleepless nights and troubled days i ordered another bow kit from rudder bows to try my hand once again at building one for myself am shooting for a 45 to 50 lb range .
not bragging but had to tell someone and the wife don't listen to me lol.
will post a pic or two when i get it done and i gotta get a move on bow season comes in here sept. 15 not alot to build tune arrow and practice huh..
thanks for reading ,
Scott

Scott, before doing that ,if you want a good mild r/d longbow look at Abbott Longbows. Steve is a good guy and has many in stock. I bought one from him about 3 months ago and have not put it down. They are great bows for the bucks. Check him out.

Why not make one from scratch. Lots of excellent info(with pics) on "The Bowyers Bench" that will get you from beginning to end and for way less money than you'll spend on a kit.

i thought about one from scratch but there is alot about that end of it that i know nuthing about . and it seems that the only tree that grows here for bow making is hickery and some of them are few and far between in my area i should say . there are 5 osage orange that i know of and they are in someones yard and wouldn't take lightly to me cutting a limb or the whole thing down lol.
so im kinda getting into this easy cause usually it's with both feet all the way but i get burned out like that so slow and easy it goes as this is something that i enjoy .
thanks,
