Selway Slide On and Bow Finish

What do you guys use as a lubricant to slide on these quivers? I have put these on multiple bows and used soapy water each time. However each time I have done it the quiver has left surface (cosmetic) scratching on the limb. I have used both longbow and recurve models with the same result.

I always use straight dish soap. Push them as far as they will go on the fades and let it dry. They never move and I have never noticed any surface marks.

Never used anything for my leather slide-on Selway. Been a long time since I did use it. Never left a mark.

i know it may be a bit off topic, but Selway is making a strap type quiver that has 2 studs for the strap to lock onto. Im going to try one of these next, looks like a very secure and quiet quiver.
