Does anyone out there in Tradland shoot a Widow PSR? They seldom come up for sale.Are they so good no one will get rid of them,or are they not so good and no one shoots them?

Some people have issues getting used to the 50's style grip, but it is a GREAT bow once you learn to shoot it.

I dont have one... yet... but I have shot several and yes, the std grip takes some time to get friendly with. But... you can have other grips made on the bow.

I like the bow a lot. I will get one in the next couple of years... Saving pennies right now for a different Widow....

I too would like to add one to the collection someday. Why do people say the grip takes getting used-to? Surely it's no different to the PL. But there are more cautious posts about holding the PSR than holding the PL. I've not shot one, so I'm curious.

Ben.. There seems to be a bit more "jump" in the PSR than the PL's, although both my PL's have "custom" grips on them. Ya have to remember, most recurve shooters today are more "acquainted" with a more full grip...

I really have liked the little bow when I shot it. Its Widow smooth and has a good feel in my hand although I will do "my grip thing" on it when I get one....

I have one and love it. I also shoot a longbow so the grip was more what I am accustomed to.

A good friend of mine shoots a PSR and he seems to really like it. He said it took a while to get used to the grip but other than that no complaints. I bought a SAG not too long ago and I'm in the process of tuning but don't really have any complaints on it either.

I have a PSRX Osage TD. Excellent 50's style recurve. I have the standard grip and have not had a problem getting used to the grip.

If I were to buy a Black Widow recurve, that is the model I would buy. I am a longbow guy at heart so I like that style of recurve more than the heavy mass weight bows.

Used to own one...sold it. All osage with beavertail grip with meat maker on it. Wish I had not have got rid of it.

I had an early version of the PSR call the SBS, Short Black Stick, 60" 44#@29" and all black....should have kept that one!!

I have several B. Widow recurves and the PSR grip feels naturaul to me. I like shooting my SA11 and have always liked the greybark bows but I shoot the PSR better. That is the only thing I wish the PSR was a PSR11 instead of the PSR111.

I have owned 4 PSR's, for me they are nice shooting good looking hunting bows. I draw arround 27" and had 54' and 56" PSR's. I use cat quivers for hunting and the 54" PSR was what I liked to take with me for stalking and scouting.. 3 years ago I started building my own bows and sold my bow collection to buy a bow shop/shed and tools. pic is one of a 54" PSR II

I have been interested in these for a while now. Shot one about 4 years ago. That was a lot of time and bows ago so hard to recall how well I liked it. Love the std and Toby grips on the PL's I have been shooting when I get a chance. I am on the hunt again for a short hunting bow and have ruled out the short hybrid bows. I will have to take a look at the PSR again. I did some searches a few weeks ago and also didn't find a lot of info and don't see that many for sale.

I owned one and shot it for several years. I ended up selling it. It shot well enough but did "jump" a little in my hands. I added a side quiver to give some extra weight and steady it. I think the extra riser mass of say the PCH is nice when it comes to smoothing out shorter recurves.
