Hey bayoubowman, had a PM from KsDan and he said that MO doesn't charge more for Kansans to hunt so I was misinformed.
Hmmm,a CT eh...? Ran into a few of your rate when I was in Subron 15 on a tender and an ASR back in "the day".
Hope you make out in time for Mojam.

Yea guys, I'm still around just busy and sort of changed my priorities a bit and am spending a lot less time on the computer in general.  Still shooting though and I peek in once in a while to see what's new.  Sure are lots of new folks around.

Chris, have canoe, will travel....  Just need some advice on getting set up for bowfishing since I've never done it.  I've wanted to try it for years but just never seem to find the time.  Maybe you could play teacher for me????  Give me a holler if ya want.

I'm thinking of heading over to Kansas and go to ....dang can't remember the name...Mike something? ... anyway, a trad shop in I think Easton KS.  Never been to it but I've been through Easton and it shouldn't take much to find it.  I've ordered from him by phone and he goes to mojam but I'm just drawing a blank on the name.  I have a card somewhere.  I'm pretty sure he has all the bowfishing stuff and I'd rather buy from him than Cabellas just because.

Brian, how's it going?  Been scouting already eh?  Look forward to seeing the pic.  Do you still have my #?

Maybe we need to start a seperate thread about another KC area get together????
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Dave, you are talking about Mike Horton of the Nocking Point.  He is a sponsor here on Trad Gang, and a great guy.

I believe I still have the number but you might want to pm me just in case.  I still need to scan the pictures.  That guy is atleast 3-4" outside his ears and is a main frame 10pt.

And yes we need to do a get together!!!

I don,t know about hunting down there, but seen alot of deer around Truman Lake in MO including one giant, I think there is ground there to check out. I was in a bass tournament in October when we saw the deer I would guess bow season is going.

The promise of four years of cosecutive sea duty aided my decision. With four young kids at the time, they did not have enough $$ to write me them orders. Enjoyed my time but it was time to move on...
