Wondering what the recommended brace height is for a Wright Firehawk. Have been shooting a more mild RD longbow over the summer, and when I went back to the firehawk, it really seemed noisy in comparrison. tried upping the braceheight, and still seemed noisy. Wondering if I should go even higher on the BH, or if it's all in my head because I'm used to the dead quiet of the bow I been shooting. Don't get me wrong, the Firehawk isn't loud, but it is sounding more like a recurve than a longbow. And I never noticed it before.

Hey Lance.

The brace height should be around 7 inches

anywhere from 6 3/4 to 7 1/8 should work fine.

This model of bow is generally very quite.

All the Best Rodney.

Lance,  what was your brace height set at?  The one I've got here is set at about 6 1/8", when I got it I just strung it up and it shot so well and quiet I never bothered to change anything.  BTW it doesn't have any string silencers at all on it.  This bow has impressed me in every way so far.  Wish I had a chrono...  :archer2:

Thanks Rodney. I thought My brace was a little low, but I didn't want to monkey with it too much until I had a recommended range to work with. I twisted it up a little higher and I can tell a difference already. Sweet shooting bow regardless...
