Cabelas Kryptek - anybody try it?
« on: August 31, 2011, 09:36:00 PM »
looking at a new line of clothing in Cabela's tonight - Kryptek.  Its in the old Sitka Mountain Mimicry pattern.  Has anyone tried it?  Hows the quality, fit, weight and warmth?

Havent tried it myself and am waiting to get a closer look at it.  You can find their website on the internet and facebook.  Was developed by a couple of Army guys.  Looks really promising.

I bought their lighter weight jacket last year.   I stopped at Cabelas with the intention of buying the Sitka 90%.  I felt Kryptek was a better jacket and it was about 30% less in price.     Very nice quality.

Tim, thanks for the info.  I may have to run up to Cabelas to look it over.  Looks to be around same price point as Kuiu.

Real interested in the stuff.  Saw it and messed with it at cabelas and really like the pattern.  It is a little cheaper than sitka and I like the fact it has the light stuff for september/hot weather hunting and some options for some cold weather.  They also have a minimal discount for if you have a guide license or in law enforcement.

Eastman's did a review of all the mountain clothing. Kryptek scored well. So did KUIU.
