CE 90 experiences wanted

Looking to hear experiences/opinions with the CE 90's. What do you think of them?

I have been shooting CE's with both Compound and Trad bows (75 and 90)and I think they are of excellant quality.

Joe, sorry no 90's info for ya. I shoot the 150's and like that they are heavier than my Trad Only's that are about the same spine. Do watch out when heating the tips for install and removal. The heat changes the color of the wood grain. It doesn't seem to hurt anything though.

I have a 1/2 dozen new wrapped and fletched (yellow) that I will part with if you are interested, however it depends on the arrow length you need since these are cut.

I shot the CE Thunderstorm SE's for several year. Basically the same arrow as the CE 90, except they have a spider web finish. I still wish CE made those!

No complaints at all. I shot lots of stuff with them, even my highest 3D score ever. They are good, tough, straight, and very consistent in spine as are all CE shafts.

I Shot Them last year tipped with 125 GR.4 blade magnus from a 56# longbow. They flew great and shot Antelope, Coues'And big whitetail doe no animal made it over 100yds. If Hunting elk would want a heavier arrow. They are great shafts if you want to shoot carbon and they fly good out of your bow. All shafts were straight and true and performed well.

I do not have any first hand experience with the 90's but do have a fairly large collection of 250's. 150's and 75's.  You will be hard pressed to find a more durable shaft.  The only negative that I have about them is the nock fit.  It's my experience that the nock fit varies alot on the CE shafts, I have had some that the nocks were so loose that you could easily pull them out with your fingers.  I place a small dab of rubber cement on all my nocks now, this seems to help.

I shoot the 90s and like them. You will need extra nocks because theirs are a bit brittle but other than that very durable.

Be advised, they only come in 29" length.

i like them but you cant use brass inserts for with them. wish someone would make brass inserts for them.  pretty tuff arrows and fly great.

I bought a dozen CE Heritage 90 (5" fletched, 30 1-4" stock length) arrows from 3R Archery, specifically for the recent Muzzy shoot (my first).
 I've read of CE's durability (any spine),& hearing about what an an "arrow buster" the Muzzy can be, I felt it would be a great test of these arrows. I was not disappointed!
 Tuned 'em to my liking (miss the lack of brass for some FOC), & went to shootin'. After MANY hard hits, not a damaged arrow, except for some popped nocks (I did have 3R carbon collars front & back). Great flight, (of course when I did my part!)
 Overall very satisfied,  & hope to bloody some this Fall.

I shot the 90s for a while. Good shaft but the nocks are much more fragile than the Bohning and Easton nocks in the std 5/16 shafts

Unfortunately, the nocks for the 90s are smaller than the standard 5/16 nocks. That's one reason I went back to GTs, all the sizes take the std nock.

The CE shafting is top quality and delivers a lot for the price, the Heritage are simply an awesome choice for the trad archer you could hardly go wrong with them.  The 90's do take a slightly smaller nock and insert, we stock extras as they also fit our Predator II 20/40's and 30/50's.

I shoot the 150s and they are TOUGH arrows.

Great shafts, but take care if you sand your nocks much to fit a larger serving. My experience was they will break, on release, if overly sanded. Probably true of all nocks, but due to smaller size, more likely with 90s and smaller sized predators. I guess that's just common sense. lol
