Great Northern quiver mod?

I remember seeing someone who had bent the front bracket on their GN quiver so the nock end of the shafts would ride farther back towards the string.
Anybody have any pics of this? Before and after?

Shortstroke 91, I have a Great Northern Side mount bolt on that I made a bracket for. It seems that The bottom limb of my Bear Takeddown did not have enough clearance for for the 2 inside arrows. I made a small racket out of aluminum bar. PM me and I"ll send you a picture.

I do have a side question though. How long are the straps on your quiver. Do you guys cut them or leave then full length?

Thank you for posting this.  I just did it to my GN strap on so it would look good and be funtional on my new Ambush by Two Tracks.

Amazing thing about timing.  I have been looking all afternoon, and only found 2 that would work for my application.  You saved me a bunch of money.  I owe you a beer.

I have always left mine full length.  They more than likely will never break, but if they do and you have cut them, your screwed.  Leave them full length and probably never have to worry about it.

Question, do you wrap the lower arm, bend around the meat of the riser?

I should try this but was wondering what happens to the balance of the bow??

Great, thank you for asking.  

Like I said, I just did the modification to my GN quiver then went downstairs and shot about 2 dozen thru her, and it worked just as planned. I will not be using the 2 inner arrows for broadheads,  Way to close to my precious digits, especially now that I have my heads KME sharp.  They will be reserved for judos, blunts or points only.

These have had the bracket bent and I extend the leather hoods so there is no exposed broadhead.

I have always bent mine thanks to "Arrows By Kelly". I saw Great Northern is offering a longer hood on new quivers.

I wanted something similar in a limb bolt mount.  I bought 1/8" cold roll steel rod from Home Depot and bent my own one piece frame. I am also using GN's old plastic washer limb bolt mount.  It's been working real well and no more dirt in the nocks when I lean the bow up against a tree.
