Killed a spy in the shop this am
« on: July 06, 2007, 10:54:00 AM »
Figured it must be a case of industrial espionage.  We were glueing up a bow and Jason started wacking at something with a hunk of wood.  Turned out to be a Black Widow. . .spider; not bow.

LOL

I killed one about a month ago, first I'd seen in many years.  They must have gotten their directions mixed up Mike.  I didn't think to check for radio and video devices though.

If anybody is in short supply of Brown Recluse spiders let me know, I can supply lots of them.

Mike, good thing Jason grabbed an osage whackin' stick instead of one of those new Helles. You sure have a nice big shop, but it's likely to get crowded in there with Jason doing the two-hand Helle samurai chop on a mad black widow! John

My wife and I saw Jason knock down your bow display at Compton's. Are you sure he was wacking at the spider or just walking by  :p

Poisonous spiders are almost as cute as snakes   :readit:

Good for you Jason. Hope you pulverized that sucker.

Poisonous spiders I kill on sight if they are in my house/property.  I generally like spiders so I let the non poisonous ones hang around.

If they resemble a poisonous spider I kill them first, then check their I.D. Got bit by a brown recluse two years ago, it really takes a toll on your imune system, long recovery, & makes you a good candidate for other infectious stuff. At least that's my experience. Good job Jason.

wonder how many it would take to back a bow with?  :biglaugh:

NightHawk might be on to something. since Mickey thinks the little 8 legged critters are cute we should collect all the widows we can and send them his way. i'll be standing by for the "BWSBOB", black widow spider backed osage bow, build-a-long. if any one can do Mickey can.     :jumper:

Vance no skinning nesssary, if there on a flat surface. Just smackem with something else flat. They self purge.     Lay em out in the sun glue up in a few hours!
