Tough place for a stalk Jim. You needed some taller grass. You're right about the altitude, for guys like us that live on the lowland takes some getting used to.

Really happy for you though sounds like you had a great time and cleared some brain mass... needs to be done once in a while, the works always there when ya get home.

Yes Mule deer are tough critters to get close to............. but it's sure fun to try  :)

great country and tough to hunt.  It's my backyard.  I though maybe you'd shoot a deer early and John would take you by to see me.... :)

He said you guys had a good time.   If I stalk up on a rock,  I usually shoot it to take out frustrations.....  :biglaugh:
