Meet "Rambo" My PVC Ghilli Quiver
« on: September 10, 2011, 07:50:00 PM »
I was bored today and since I didn't have any shafts or other archery projects I decided to make a PVC pipe quiver out of 1 1/2" pipe, an old camo shirt, a cheap cloth belt (I need to get a military surplus belt or something olive drab to match), a hunk of leather to make the bottom BH compatible, some glue, and some parachord.

I wrapped it first and then shredded the remainder of the shirt to create the ghilli effect. I wrapped a cheap rattlebag shell over the bottom to waterproof it if I wanted to set it down on the ground.

I was going for a Dual Survival kind of thing.

Added the fur on the inside to quiet it down more. Now all I need is that surplus belt...

Thats a pretty good example of how simple, homemade can be as good....probably better....than something commercial.

Simple is almost ALWAYS better...nice job.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Nice!
Looks like some of the birch trees down along the creek.

I have some torn up camo pants. I think I may do the same for a simple hunting quiver to carry two or three arrows in.

I can't really justify spending a lot of money on extra stuff right now since money is so tight. that's sure a cheap way to put something practical together without having to drop like $60 for a quiver.
