Opening day deer ...
« on: September 12, 2011, 01:59:00 PM »
Well kind of anyway.

This is the first opening day I've missed in many a year.

We just moved to a new house a few weeks ago and most of my archery stuff is in boxes, under boxes, under boxes.

But I got to "shoot" these 2 bucks on opening day.

Talk about impolite teasers!!!
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Mr.Magoo, looks like you sure moved into the RIGHT place, if they don't mind you and the dog being in "their dining room"    ;)

I'll tell ya.  Some of these deer are pretty laid back.  I've turned the dog loose to play frisbee had him running around and then notice deer standing/laying around back there.

The dog's an 75lb Drahthaar, so those deer aren't too smart to stay put.

We get between 1 and 20+ walking around back there every day.

That is pretty cool!
I suggest letting those guys grow, and hunting further afield. Be cool to have a few "house deer" around.  :)

The one in the back looks like a pronghorn.

That's more than I've seen on a lot of opening days.
