Shootin a Tab in cold weather

im sure this has been addressed on the Powwow, but i went to a BW tab late last year and only hunted with it a few times (it was cool but not cooold)and hands got a little chilly. i guess you can wear a light cotton glove over your hand then slide the tab on or is there a "warmer"way thats comfortable.. or have a hand warmer in your pocket and keep hands inside until its "go time"..or maybe i just need to toughen up..ha any help will be great. thanks graybark

I use a BW tab too, and hunted all season last year warm or cooold. What I use it a little pouch (like one you see QB's use in football) and just put my hand in it. If its really cold I put a warmer in the pouch. Hope this helps.

I also use a waist pouch to keep my hands warm while waiting on a deer ton show up.

The waist puch is one way the fingerless fold over mittens are used by some. I can shoot with a glove under my tab without a lot of troubles. If in a treestand I use hand warmers in my pocket. Though the puch idea is a good thought I think I will look into

Waist pouch is the way to go. Some have a small zippered pocket that you can put a chemical hand warmer in.
If it's not super cold, pouch is usualy enough.

When it is very cold I use a thick latigo leather cordovan style that I cut myself to be big enough to fit over my gloves.

I am glad it doesn't get cold enough where I hunt for this to be a problem.

I use glomitts (glove mittens ) wool with fold over mitt over cut off fingers with thin glove under it as well. Works great and you can layer with thin glove or not. Drew

I wear a glove liner with warm gloves that have the shooting fingers cut off. Keep my hand in my pocket til I'm ready to shoot. Fingers stay warm enough even if you have to wait a while and I have not had the glove liner cause and difference in release or accuracy.

I use a thin glove under my tab, it has worked out better than I thought it might. Since it is a thin glove I do keep hand in my pocket or a waist hand warmer when it gets real cold.
