Shooting again
« on: September 15, 2011, 03:23:00 PM »
After a long, hard summer of chemotherapy and an extended hospital stay, I finally can pull and shoot a bow again.  Granted it was only 10-15 arrows, and not with my 62# River Runner, but it was shooting and I enjoyed it immensely.

Felt good especially after enjoying my other passion (canoeing) for a half hour or so on a small pond this morning.

It wasn't hunting some remote wilderness or paddling some wild river, but both things felt great and gave me an appreciation for the simple things in life and enjoying what you have no matter how small.

Great news! I spent 3 and a half months not shooting due to an injury. Shooting again is good for the soul.

Round Two of a happpy life!
I am glad of your recovery and your ability to enjoy, rather than work at, your life.

Many years of trouble-free adventures!

Could this possibly be a miracle or just an occurrence that we may possibly have become accustomed to hearing?

A miracle no doubt, for miracles do abound in this world and even with glasses I still fail to focus in on them.

Your prayers have been answered as we celebrate with you.

I'm going to try to hit Birkhead for you Dave. Sounds like I need to jump on it so I can get you some more feedback.

Glad to hear you're on the upswing.

Glad to hear you had recovered enough strength to enjoy your two favorite things again, even if somewhat abbreviated.  It helps to remind me to constantly be thankful for my health.  I wish you increased health and strength.

Great David, hang in there. Cooler weather, getting stronger, better attitude.

Good luck,
