Like Chuck, I tie a piece of dental floss or thin string in my upper string loop and fray the end so it catches the wind better. I also tie a six-8-inch piece of dental floss or string around my arrow shaft directly behind the broadhead and fray it. Like can, I'll use a small piece of bird feather or down on the end of the string if one is handy instead of fraying. When on stand, I have an arrow nocked. The string on my arrow, being just a little further away from my body, the tree I'm in, etc., often shows the wind direction a little better than the one on the bow tip. The one on the tip, comes in handy while walking/stillhunting.
