TT Black Max Carbons on a Morrison aluminum riser - thoughts?
« on: October 04, 2011, 04:36:00 PM »
I've got a Gen II Morrison aluminum ILF riser, was thinking of putting on a pair of Trad Tech Black Max carbon recurve limbs, longs for a 62" bow, probably 45#.  Question for you guys that have this combination - do you like it?  If not, why so?  Currently running a pair of Dryad Epic longbow limbs on this riser.  I hate the look but I can't argue with the performance or accuracy.  Thank you!

I have the Black Max Carbon limbs on a 15" Gen 1 riser making a 60" bow. Also 45 lbs. On my riser they are 49 lbs turned all the way out. I shoot them at 50 @ 27". Very fast, not the most silent, but not too bad. Good combo.

Your best bet would be to call John Wert at trad tech. He's sold alot of these limbs for your riser. He'll be able to tell you what you need.

I have some TT Black Max Carbon limbs on a Morris 13" mini wood riser and really like them. Quick, quiet, and I can shoot it all day long. The limbs are the 45# and shoot about 49 at my set up and draw.

Being able to swap limbs and riser's is the great thing about ILF. If it shoots for you, who cares. Go with it!
