Have you thought of giving United Blood trackers a call?
They are an organisation dedicated to helping find wounded deer using blood tracking dogs. I am pretty sure they work free but not a 100% sure on that.

Can you find someone with a dog to help track it? It's a good idea to have someone available just in case.

My first traditionally launched arrow to draw whitetail blood resulted in no recovery. I know the sick feeling. That was Sept 10 this year. I STILL have the chigger bites that haven't healed up. Nature's reminder to me I guess. The sick feeling is still there but we aren't alone. It does get better though.
