Applying the TG wraps?
« on: July 10, 2007, 09:53:00 AM »
Bought a dozen of the trad gang wraps to put on a dozen ash shafts.I already stained them but was wondering if Id better poly dip them before putting the wraps on or will they stick without the poly? Thanks

They will stick fine, I had mine stained and sealed with tung oil, they stuck to them perfectly.

Use a big mouse pad, have fun, they look great and wear like iron.

I would clear them first just to ensure proper adhesion. Wouldnt want to see something happen to those beautiful wraps.

I put mine on some prefinished shafts i had. They look good. I would definitely finish the shafts first.
