brace hight
« on: October 13, 2011, 08:02:00 PM »
I got a hickery long bow on E-Bay. I can't get a hold of the bowyer. I was wondering what my brace hight should be. I have it set at about 6 inches. It seems to shoot good but still slaps my forearm. Any help would be much appreciated.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I don't know about the bow you have, but one thing I know is that brace hight might not fix the arm slaping. look at your form, the wau you hold the bow,ie, is your wrist straight, not up and down but left to right. just a thought!

yeah, it's the nature of the beast. 6-6 1/2" sounds about right.
