Hi all,
I don't recall if this is my first post here or not (been an avid reader for some time and finally joined this past year), but I too have been a huge fan of Grizzly broadheads, ever since reading Dr Ashby's reports. Anyway, like many here, I was starting to think the few Grizzly and even fewer El Grande heads I had were all I would ever get. I finally found mention of Zipper Bows acquisition of these fine broadheads recently on another site and contacted Bill to see if this was true. Even though he's probably busier than a one-armed paper hanger, he took the time to reply back with answers to questions I posed. Since it's now January and he freely gave me this info I presume I won't be spoiling anything by passing on what I learned from him. So, here's what he passed on to me.
Q: I've been trying to find Grizzly El Grande broadheads for quite some time and just read on a trad site that you recently bought the company. If so, and I do hope so, I would like to know when Grizzly and Grizzly El Grande broadheads will be available again, if you can provide that info.
A: We will have 200 grain Kodiak (formerly called El Grande) broadheads by the beginning of Feb. We will have both left and right bevel.
Q: Besides the 200 grain Kodiak are you going to
produce any other weight Kodiak broadheads, such as the 160 grain that was in the El Grande line-up? Also, will the "regular" Grizzly heads be
in your line-up of broadheads? And lastly, do you have a price structure for these broadheads?
A: We will also have the regular Grizzly's. The weight on some of them have changed because of the improved grind. The 160 grain Kodiak was dropped because I was told there was not a lot of interest in it. IF that does not turn out to be the case I will gladly bring it back. Regular Grizzly's are $32.95/ 6 pack, the Kodiak's are $34.95/6 pack.
So, there you have it guys. I can't wait to get my hands on these new Grizzly and Kodiak heads. Many thanks to Bill for getting them going again.
