New Bow - Hunter
« on: October 21, 2011, 08:33:00 PM »
I know there have been a few Bama Hunter threads, but this one's mine.

Curly Maple riser with a barely visible Black Walnut accent strip. The limbs are Bamboo with Curly Maple and Phenolic tips. The overlay is Curly Maple as well.

Thanks for letting me show her off.

I love the way Nate stains that Curly Maple. Very nice bow, sleek, dark, and deadly. I know it's a shooter, I've got 3 of his bows with another coming any day now. Congrats!

I really like stained curly maple. Not a big fan of bright natural, but like yours....oh yeah!
Now put a massive buck behind it and let's see it again.

I got my new hunter bow yesterday.  Like everyone has said, Nate is one of the nicest people you will ever deal with.  The bow is just beautiful and really fast.  I flight shot it against a r&d

I guess I hit the reply button too early!!!
I flight shot it against a r&d bow that was six pounds heavier and a bow that I have always considered fast and they shot the same distance time and again.  The r&d bow did have a thicker string though.  The bow shoots a little higher than the bow I'm used to so I think I will put the hunter up until after deer season.

That dark curly maple is fantastic!  I'll agree with Rob on this one, "one of the prettiest, if not THE prettiest, of all hill-style longbows".
