Help pearson cougar

One of my students was given a cougar and wants me to get a string and some arrows for him and teach him to shoot.  So what string and arrow for a 45# 62" bow.  I figure the kid should be drawing close to 28 as he is taller than me and plenty athletic and workin country boy.  I figure aluminum or carbon as I don't think he needs to worry about keepin arrows straight.  Plan on giving him some judos and sending him to the woods to do most of his practice.

You want a 59" bowstring (for an AMO 62" bow).  14 strands of B-50 or equivalent.

Can't help you with aluminum or carbon - I'm allergic.  ;-)

PS - I have been shooting the same dozen Douglas fir arrows for a year and have straightened maybe two in that time.

I have the exact same bow I am shooting 500 spine carbons with 145 grain tips. Arrows are 30 in. I shot this bow more than my custom one.

I would get a 58" string for this vintage recurve...and yes, B-50 dacron would be best.
