Sunday's Hunt

I had a great day out in the wilds of Sussex County NJ deer hunting with a couple great friends and fellow Trad Gang members, Bentpole, Tom and Bamboo, Mike. Thanks Mike for showing us that hidden gem. I doubt very much that I'll ever be able to find that place again! LOL Thanks Tom for picking me up and driving us up there to hunt.
We saw 7 deer and 1 bear. I was wishing I had brought my judos cause there were so many squirrels. Would have been good to add 1 or 2 to the crock pot.

Wish I could have been there, just too many obligations to take care. Sounds like you guys had a good time. We saw a sow with 2 cubs the evening before in that spot. The cubs climbed a tree and went to the top, maybe 40 feet. Never seen them climb so high before.

Lol, everytime V and I heard a bear moving through the woods, we were expecting Mike to come stepping out of the brush.

Jerry thats funny! Every time I see one I wonder if I'll have any problems when I let the bear know I'm there. Most run away and rarely some won't. I've dealt with a couple who won't leave and thats no fun. Thankfully the bears and I have gotten away without any new holes in our hides.

Bent, stopped in at Frankie the Butcher Sunday to pick up my deer. He mentioned he knows you from the job. Small world, huh?? Cooking up some of his kielbasa from the pig hunt with potatoes and onions right now - hmmmmmm, good. Jerry, that is real funny!
