Mine stay strung unless they are being transported.  Short of 120+ degree temperates, you cannot hurt a fiberglass laminated bow by leaving it strung.

I shoot almost every day.  Whatever bow I am shooting at the time stays strung.  The rest are unstrung, on a rack.  I have never seen a difference in all these years.  These are all laminated glass bows.  A self bow or laminated all wood bow would be unstrung if not in use.

If your bow is made from natural materials (ie. non-fiberglass) you will want to minimize the time the bow is strung.  Heck, sometimes I'll carry my bamboo backed bows around unstrung while elk hunting, then string them when I see something. Easy enough to do once you learn.  Long strung times can suck the life right out of a natural materials bow in the form of string follow.

It seems the informed opinion is that it does no harm and I hesitate to disagree but I will continue to swim against the tide and let my bow rest when I do.

I shoot every day - some stay strung until I change the string.

Me too.

Besides, if a bow is unstrung when not in use, there is a lot less chance of someone else who doesn't know any better picking it up and dry firing it.
