Brace Hight, and Draw Weight
« on: July 12, 2007, 08:39:00 PM »
I have just finished a reflexed 66" bamboo backed osage long bow. I am wondering how high the brace hight should be on this bow. My shorter 62" and 64"
glass lam. bows do good around 7 1/2". should the all wood bow be the same. Also will this bow loose some of it's draw weight after being shot a while.
The size of the horns don,t matter
as long as it has a good tale.

Bone,
I am now expert at all, but if I remember right from all my fine mentors on here, most self bows have a brace of around 6". I would think 7.5 would be way to high for a selfbow, but again, maybe some of the resident experts will jump in here and help you.
