I like it, it does look like an old map or scroll. I have seen people distress stuff by burning the edges. That is what that reminds me of.

Abe,

Of course the analogy isn't accurate...only approximate. I hope you know that I love that bow's looks. I think you actually sent me a picture of it back in September. That's some stunning wood for sure.

I was only trying to convey that...while beautiful...outrageous woods (and trucks!) just don't have that long-term appeal for me. I know they're pretty, but my personal sense of appeal runs toward slightly more subtle looks. I've had a good many wildly-beautiful bows in life, but most of them seem to move on to another home. The keepers are usually more understated in looks. It's these bows that seem most at home in the mountains, or the deer woods.

How long do I keep my white trucks? Bought a white '02 in '02. Then a white '04 in '04. I just traded the '04 and took delivery on a '12...white of course. I'll let other guys drive the bright colors.

I'll talk to you about a truly custom bow with woods from my farm. I like that idea. Great job on that big elk!

Kevin
I would be happy to work with you on another bow when you are ready.
This is not the one I sent you pictures of in the fall. The one in the fall had antler. I will include pictures of that one as well.
I've never owned a red truck either.
