good budget spotting scope
« on: November 17, 2011, 09:22:00 PM »
What is a good quality spotting scope for under $300 at mwx $350. I was looking at the vortex optics they seem good. I love my Nikon monarch BIOS but need something for my trip to Montana.
Anyone know a good place to get whatever you suggest
Thanks for the help

Try nachez.com they have nice stuff cheap.

I have some Vortex binos and they are great .... very clear and bright with a life time transferable warranty. I had never heard of them and traded a bow for the pair I have. It was a very good trade. I have had good binos before, Zeiss, so I had something to compare too. If you are going to use your optics a great deal do not go cheap. If only occasionally then perhaps go with a budget brand.

If you have the chance to use someones spotting scope to discover  some of the features you might want but are not aware of like quick location of a view target or eye piece fit or focus dials ect ect that would be a benefit.

I've been very impressed with the new Redfield optics (now owned by Leupold). Although I have not used their spotting scope, it's well within your budget and should be of good quality and with a lifetime warranty.

For many years I've purchased my optics through SWFA.com. Great prices and cheap shipping. Check out their sample list for closeout and demo items at tremendous savings.
