New Turkey Creek Long
« on: July 14, 2007, 05:28:00 PM »
Just got my new Longbow. 66" 49lb.
The riser is cocobolo and bocote. The limb veneers are curly movingue. This 49 pound longbow sure slings the same arrows faster than my old 53 pounder.

Nice looking bow!  I'd like to see a closer pic of those curly movingue veneers, they look pretty interesting.

I'm not surprised at all that your #49 Turkey Creek outshoots your old #53.  They can hang with just about any bow out there.

congrats chas, I got mine two weeks ago and can't get enuogh of it. It's also 49 # the same as my black widow psa and i'll tell ya this it shoots faster and hits harder than my widow, and my groups tightened up considerably. Oh and it didn't break my check book!

I had the pleasure of shooting this little light weight stick with some funny black stuff in it. This Doug fella handed it ot me and said "Here give this a whirl"

I took a arrow he handed to me, nocked it and pffffiiit, fletchin appeared right where I was lookin, and lickety split too. I thought, dang, how'd that happen. So I knocked another and same results.

That thing is purrttyy, and it shoots too.
Thanks, Doug for causing me to lust after another her. My current "her" didn't treat me non too well at the OBA shoot today.
