Great picture and story, Caleb. Looks like it's time for you to carry on the "family tradition."

Only piece of advice I would give is to get yourself a hood for those broadheads. They look like the old MA3's or Bodkins. That's an old model Kwikee Kwiver and still very useful. You can order a hood for that by going to the Kwikee Kwiver web site. The hood is $5.00 and probably at least that much for shipping.

So probably not as old as some but here are my workhorses:

My John Schulz Trophy Hunter, has been my "Go to" bow this season. Love this longbow!

And my previous hunting bow, Original Damon Howatt Mamba. Still take this one out from time to time but it does stack quite a bit at my longer draw.

Thanks for the advice Hatrick I will have to look into getting that! One quick question.. Those are his old wooden arrows. They look in good shape.. Should I not shoot them?

If the wood looks good in the shafts, put new nocks on them and let them fly..
Plastic nocks will get brittle with age, and are dangerous..

What kind of broadheads are on them? Oh and you probably need a different quiver.  :)

Thats a beautiful grizzly stone knife. I debated purchasing one off **** not too long ago!

The shafts look good I will try and shoot a few tonight. I will get back to you on the heads and yes. The new quiver is a work in progress haha

Bringing this back around. For me it's going to be this 1969 Tigercat this year. Just a great fitting and shooting bow!

Wow, this thread brings back memories of bows I wish I had kept, or taken better care of years ago.  Funny thing is, I thought it was going to be about old bowhunters, not old hunting bows when I clicked on it.

Looking at the longevity of some of these bows, I really don't need a new one.
