What is crazing and can it be removed?

Not a bowyer, but I'll tahe a stab at it.

It is fractures in the topcoat (cosmetic) or down into the epoxy or polyester matrix around the fiberglass strands (still mostly cosmetic if truly just crazing).  No, it cannot be removed unless you grind down to it.  The surface can be disguised unless it's clear glass on the limbs and just a new coat of finish will make it look better.
