Summit Openshot or Lone Wolf climber??

I love my Summit Bushmaster, but the side rails can really compromise your shooting radius.
I've narrowed my search down to either a Openshot or Lone Wolf climber, would be interested in hearing opinions if you have had experience with both.
Thanks & Happy Thansksgiving!

Jesse,
Hey Buddy. Yes I have, you can get them for $149, but the whole set up is $229 - $239. I also wondered how it would pack, since the platforms were be kinda "mismatched"?? Maybe I can find Apex's post or he will chime in??

I can only speak about the Lone Wolf handclimber. It's perftic for my needs plus it packs up quite small.

Barry,
I can only testify to the Lone Wolf Climber. It has been the best stand I have ever owned and hands down my favourite piece of hunting equipment. I'll hunt with different bows but not a different stand. All the best.

How much actual difference is there between the bushmaster seat section and the open shot? I have a bushmaster and have been studying the open shot seat section, but I am wondering if the only difference is the seat folds up?

I have them both and like the open shot better. I hate the traction belt on the lone wolf. Mine sometimes get caught up on the back of the tree. The open shot is easier to climb with and is much more comfortable

Only have the lone wolf, but like others have said, bows may come and go, but my Lone wolf will always be my bowhunting climber. It gets cold up here and it's always dead silent which goes a long way when you don't need to worry about extra sound when positioning for a shot quickly.

The Open Shot top will nest with your bushmaster platfom and the seat is very comfy.I also have a Lone Wolf sit and climb.Overall the Open shot is easier to use.I get aggravated with the locking cams on the Lone Wolf sometimes, especially when its cold.

I can only speak for the Open shot. Its exactly what i needed for public land . Light, easy to climb with and quiet.

I will add 2 things here. The locking cam issue with the LW's does not exist on the new models. I own both a 2003 and a 2011 HC model, the new one works so easy I couldn't believe it, I will be replacing the ones on my older model with the new ones. Also if you think an open shot is quiet you have never hunted from a LW climber, there is no comparison LW is the best by far for quietness.

I Have never hunted from a LW. I dont like the strap design the locks or the price tag. Have you ever hunted from an Openshot??

I have both, for less hassle and packability, I would choose the lone wolf hand climber with the butt strap. If you look on their website, you will see what I am talking about.

What about the seat on the lone wolf? Does it fold up out of your way without hassel?
